Cure:PNW • De-escalation & Dialogue

From Chaos to Clarity: Preparing for Dialogue with Power

Portland has carried the weight of decisions and actions by PPB and federal agencies that have fueled chaos—especially around immigration. Many of us have been on the frontlines demanding accountability and justice. These facilitated meetings with Portland Police won’t erase the harm— but they are an opening. This training helps us walk in steady, sharp, and unshakable.

What you’ll gain

  • Grounded Presence: regulate your body and emotions to face tension without being thrown off balance.
  • Dialogue Tools: speak truth so hard truths can be heard—without losing clarity or boundaries.
  • Collective Readiness: channel outrage into powerful dialogue and show up as a united movement.

Why this matters

Broken systems and violent enforcement don’t only live “out there”—they shape how we enter every room. These meetings are a chance to confront power differently: not by softening, but by being unshakably present, prepared, and clear about why we’re there—especially around immigration and systemic harm.
